I’m in the process of gathering funds to develop this project in collaboration with writer Mine Kaylan

Working Title: ‘Bread, Bath, Boardroom and Bloody Murder’

An opera in two acts:

“At some very basic level imperialism means thinking about, settling on, controlling land you do not possess, that is distant, that is lived on and owned by others”

Edward Said, ‘Culture and Imperialism’

Bread, Bath, Boardroom & Bloody Murder is a contemporary performance event.

Written during the recent events of war in the Middle East, the piece is intended to be at the same time lyrical, absurd, humorous and profane. A ten minute overture has been staged in Stratford-upon-Avon, commissioned by The Royal Shakespeare Company’s New Works Festival 2005.
